Despite my young age, I’ve built an impressive motorsport career. At four, I got my first Yamaha PW and rode around my parents' Indenhof campsite. After competing in motocross, I transitioned to supermoto, winning two youth championships under Marcel van Drunen.
At 15, I joined the KTM RC390 Cup, finishing third at the KTM World Final in Jerez. After two years, I was set to race in the World Supersport 300 Championship, but a last-minute change denied me the opportunity. Instead, I competed in IDM Supersport 300 with Benro Racing on a Yamaha R3, though the bike lacked competitiveness. I also made a wildcard appearance in World Supersport 300 at Assen.
Midway through 2019, I moved to IDM Supersport 600 with Benro Racing, later joining MGM Racing in Superstock, where I won multiple races and nearly finished third in the standings despite a late-season entry. However, a lack of data support hindered our setup. After MGM left IDM, I raced two seasons with Hertrampf Racing on a Yamaha R6, achieving podiums but still struggling with technical limitations. Engine failures in 2023 and costly tuning made me consider a switch to Superbikes.
Initially, I planned to test a Yamaha R1, but the opportunity fell through. Through IDM races, I connected with Werner Damen, who offered me a test on a BMW M1000RR in Valencia. The bike immediately felt right, giving me confidence and opening new possibilities. The advanced electronics required adjustment, but I quickly adapted. We reached an agreement to purchase the BMW, with Werner providing technical support and a mechanic for IDM races.
Training in Spain helped me refine my skills against fast competition, and for the first time, I felt I could give 100% on a competitive machine. The BMW’s electronics were excellent from the start, and the step to Superbikes has been a significant but rewarding challenge. With Werner’s support, we achieved great results in 2024, and I’m eager to keep progressing at the highest level.
